Visio / Social Media / Video Sharing App
Login Screen:
I have created a placeholder logo, in strong bold text that can display prominently on an image in the background.
The logo being featured to entrench brand at all times. The image is of a visually artistic landscape, that has trees that direct the eye towards the user login.
Email login supported with a positive affirmation of the green check box.
The password allows you to show your field before signing in, to ensure accuracy, and lessen the frustration caused by an incorrect password.
Also allowing the Facebook login/registration, which sources all relevant info from that platform to populate your user fields. Then accompanied by the below helpful directions. I've placed a Skip button in the top right, for a potential new user to get a taste of the platform before committing to creating a profile.
Profile Screen:
To ensure we are progressive enough from a design standpoint in the competitive environment of social media applications, we need to ensure we pay attention to the latest findings in User Experience and User Interface. Being progressive, but not catering to every trend. Instead evaluating which are in line with the brand communication, that won’t date too aggressively.
I’ve gone for muted tones of grey, accented with a bold purple gradient. Gradients being more engaging to the eye, than flat colour.
The main menu is top right, which gives you access to your profile settings and additional accounts.
The profile has a prominent photo with the name, location and occupation/vocation. This can be expanded to showcase further information on the profile, such as sponsors and further desired profile info.
To showcase popularity i've indicated followers and posts, which would be of interest to sponsors.
Right under that, there is a brief showcase of three recent photos, with engagement. With a See All button to the right.
Upon engaging with this, you go to a page with all the photos.
Below this, are the stories or videos section. Also featuring the See All functionality.
Two videos get showcased. On both the photos and Stories, you van slide the content to the left to reveal more content.
On the active video, there is a brief description to entice users to interact. Each Video has a play button prompt.
The main navigation at the bottom has been segmented from the design to give it the modular aesthetic.
Once a particular button has been selected, it gets highlighted by having the branded coloration applied and popping up off the menu bar.
The buttons are Home, Liked, Add Content, Search and Profile.
Video Stream Screen:
Back button on top left, to leave the video stream offering.
Timer centre screen with a gaussian blur to ensure legibility.
I’ve used rounded corners to make the communication softer and more accessible.
You can tag your location top right and operate your flash next to that.
In the centre of the screen, theres a tap to focus and adjust the brightness of your video.
The primary video controls at the bottom are housed on a rotary wheel. You can rotate them to access tools.
Current tools displayed are Camera, Video and Effects.
Secondary button on the left under that is, Files and Rotate camera on the far right.
The Record Video is in red, as users are historically trained to recognise this functionality in the real world.
Below that is a quick access to video functionality and displays current setting in purple.
